Young People First: Safeguarding and Safety in Scouting

At 1st Parkstone Scout Group, the safety and wellbeing of young people is our top priority. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where everyone can take part, feel respected, and enjoy their Scouting experience.

All of our volunteers follow The Scout Association’s safeguarding policies and complete the required training to ensure young people are kept safe at all times.

Reporting concerns

If you have any concerns about a young person’s safety or wellbeing, please speak to a member of our leadership team, such as the Group Lead Volunteer. You can also report concerns online through the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Safety Centre

Staying safe online

The CEOP Safety Centre provides advice and support for children, young people, parents and carers about staying safe online, including how to report online abuse.
