The Scout Section is the fourth section of the Scouting movement for young people aged 10½ to 14 years.
🟣 Tuesdays
7:00pm – 9:00pm
At 1st Parkstone, we believe Scouts should be fun, inclusive, and full of memorable experiences. Our programme is packed with action, from traditional skills such as camping, survival, and outdoor cooking to bigger adventures including caving, expeditions, archery, shooting, and kayaking.
Along the way, Scouts develop confidence, resilience, teamwork, and leadership skills while creating lasting friendships and unforgettable memories. These experiences help build a real spirit of adventure and prepare them for the next step in their journey as Explorer Scouts. To keep sessions fun, fair and safe for everyone, our Scouts follow our Code of Conduct and Behaviour Policy, which sets out how we all work together.
As an Air Scout unit, we also bring something a little different, with activities linked to aviation and flight, adding an extra layer of excitement you won’t find everywhere else.
Why join Scouts?

Adventure for everyone
It’s all about taking part, trying new things and having a go. Every Scout has the chance to earn badges and awards along the way.
Skills for life
From independence and teamwork to creativity and resilience, Scouts gain skills that last a lifetime.
Camps & trips
Nights away, outdoor challenges and shared experiences that you’ll never forget.
Most of our Scouts move up from Cubs, but new faces are always welcome. Head to our Join page and send us your details, we’d love to hear from you.
Scouting is more than just young people, it’s a whole community. Parents and carers can get involved too, whether helping out at activities or supporting behind the scenes. There’s a place for everyone in the 1st Parkstone family.
We are always looking for parent help on evenings and activities so if you would like to get involved as a helper or even becoming a Leader then please get in touch online or speak to Amanda or Steffan.
